About

Dr. Yoel Rojas holds dual board certifications in plastic and reconstructive surgery and is based in New York where he performs facial plastic surgery, body contouring, and complicated reconstructive operations. He is recognized for his vast knowledge, technical skills, precision and for the natural-looking results he delivers.

His medical degree was earned from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He completed a general surgery residency through the University of Puerto Rico’s Department of Surgery, followed by a burn and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Jacobi Medical Center. He acquired advanced training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery during his plastic surgery residency with Nassau University Medical Center.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Rojas received multiple honors that reflect his dedication to surgical excellence, including the Best Student in Surgery Medal and the Academic Excellence Award from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. 

Dr. Rojas is known for his personalized level of care and close attention to detail as he considers each patient’s anatomy, goals, and lifestyle when creating a plan for any surgery,  including reconstructive or body contouring surgery, with a focus on results that look balanced, natural, and long-lasting

Some of his specialties include, cosmetic plastic surgery, body contouring, breast reconstruction, lower extremity reconstruction, and more complicated reconstructive cases. He is also actively involved in academic and clinical research and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field of reconstructive and burn surgery.

Dr. Rojas maintains hospital affiliations with NYU Winthrop Hospital, New York-Presbyterian Queens, St. Francis Hospital and Heart Center, Mount Sinai South Nassau, and Nassau University Medical Center. These affiliations allow his patients access to comprehensive surgical care across leading medical institutions in New York.
