About Steven Batash MD

Dr. Batash completed his undergraduate degree at Columbia University. He received his M.D. from NYU School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Bellevue NYU and his gastroenterology fellowship at NYVA (NYU). In 1998, Dr. Batash was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine.

He currently has admitting privileges at NYU Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital/Queens. Dr. Batash is a member of:

  • American College of Gastroenterology

  • Association for Bariatric Endoscopy (ABE)

Our Mission

Dr. Batash is focused on screening for digestive and abdominal disorders while providing a wide variety of invasive and non-invasive treatments near you. Our goal is to meet the needs of adolescents and adults in all areas of gastroenterology from colon screening to treatment of complex digestive disorders. Whether you are experiencing digestive disorder, hemorrhoidal conditions, liver disease, or abdominal pain, we will provide you with an accurate diagnosis and suggest treatment options to achieve the best possible outcomes. Dr. Batash is one of the first physicians in the U.S. to specialize in gastric balloon placement for non-surgical weight loss. He is dedicated to medical excellence and believes in providing exceptional care with compassion and integrity.


Medical Team & Facilities

Our office is conveniently located in Rego Park, a few steps away from the train station and bus stop. There is a parking garage across the street and two large shopping malls in the area.

All endoscopic procedures are performed in our State of the Art Office Based Endoscopy Center located across the hall from our main office. Our Center is equipped with the latest endoscopic equipment and fully accredited by AAAASF. We welcome you to take a look at our facility before you choose to undergo your procedure with us. 

Our medical team is made up of competent and licensed professionals that assist Dr. Batash in providing excellent and safe care. All endoscopic procedures are performed by Dr. Batash with the assistance of the board certified anesthesiologist. Our nurses, medical assistants and physician assistants are here to provide best-in-class medical care designed to make our patients feel comfortable and help them achieve the optimal outcomes for their specific health concerns.
